🔥Innovating better healthcare through mHealth & FHIR technology
At Firerix Digital Health, our goal is to revolutionize healthcare by making digital health solutions more accessible, interoperable, and intelligent. We are here to support your journey toward better health outcomes.
Let's connectFirerix Digital Health was founded in 2025 in Vancouver, Canada by Reza Abolhassani, rooted in a simple belief: healthcare data should move as seamlessly as the patients it represents.
Reza's journey is grounded in a strong academic foundation in computer engineering and eHealth, shaped through years of hands-on experience in clinical data migration, interoperability, and health IT transformation. Reza holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Shiraz University and a Master's in eHealth from McMaster University. His career began with developing medical billing systems, which provided early insight into hospital operations, and later evolved through data integration roles across Canada. A certified expert in HL7 FHIR R4 and Microsoft SQL BI, Reza is also a frequent speaker at FHIR conferences and connectathons. His key achievements include contributing to data warehouse and analytics initiatives at Vancouver's Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), such as cancer screening and provincial mortality reporting. Later, at Smile Digital Health in Toronto, he delivered FHIR-based interoperability projects that supported enhanced cardiac care in Ontario and U.S. benefit plan systems. Today, as the Founder & CEO of Firerix Digital Health, Reza is dedicated to transforming how health data moves—securely, intelligently, and with purpose. His passion lies in advancing digital health innovation, interoperability, and API-enabled platforms that empower patients, providers, and developers to drive meaningful change in care delivery.
Over the past decade, our team has worked on everything from early projects with healthcare systems in Canada and the US to collaborations with leading digital health providers — always with a focus on unifying fragmented health data.
Every project reinforced the same truth: standards like HL7 FHIR® are powerful, but success comes from aligning technology with people. Years of collaboration with clinicians, and executives shaped our approach to interoperability—technical excellence paired with human-centered design.
Today, Firerix Digital Health, based in Vancouver, Canada, focuses on building SMART-on-FHIR mobile health applications that help patients engage with their care. Our solutions are designed for global scalability, including potential service delivery across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries—Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. With a commitment to accessibility and cultural inclusivity, we develop multi-language applications that empower diverse populations around the world. We bring forward the lessons of large-scale migrations, data governance, and integration into lightweight, scalable solutions for the future of digital health.
This is more than a company—it’s a continuation of a journey that began with solving complex data challenges and is now focused on empowering patients and clinicians alike. Our story is still being written, and we invite you to be part of it.
Our mission is to make healthcare data accessible, secure, and meaningful. At Firerix Digital Health, we believe interoperability isn’t just about standards—it’s about enabling patients, clinicians, and innovators to collaborate more effectively. We strive to transform fragmented systems into connected experiences that improve outcomes and empower people to take control of their health.
We embrace new technologies and standards like HL7 FHIR® to deliver forward-looking solutions. Innovation drives our ability to build modern mobile health applications that adapt to evolving needs.
Trust is at the heart of healthcare. We maintain transparency, security, and compliance in every project—ensuring that patient data is handled responsibly and ethically.
We work closely with clinicians, patients, and stakeholders to co-create solutions. True interoperability requires diverse perspectives working toward a shared goal.
Every decision we make comes back to one question:How does this improve the patient experience? Our apps and integrations are designed to empower individuals and their care teams.
We are committed to high standards in data modeling, migration, and app development—ensuring our solutions are robust, scalable, and future-proof.
Digital health should be available to everyone, not just a few. We design solutions that are inclusive, easy to use, and adaptable across systems and populations.
These values guide every decision we make, from technical design to stakeholder collaboration. They reflect not only how we work, but why we exist—to help shape a healthier, more connected future.
